2-Furoyl-LIGRLO-NH2 is a potent and selective agonist of protease-activated receptor 2 (PAR2). 2-Furoyl-LIGRLO-NH2 caused both an endothelium-dependent relaxation and an endothelium-independent contraction in a rat model. It was more potent than SLIGRL-NH2 in producing delayed (6 hours) facilitation of capsaicin-evoked visceral nociception.
