Storage: Store product < -70 ºC. Enzyme is stable for at least 6 months at -70 ºC as undiluted stock
Specific Activity: request Certificate of Analysis (COA)
This truncated sphingosine 1-phosphate lyase (a.a. 62-5686) protein has a N-terminal His tag, was expressed in Sf9 cells, and was purified using nickel-NTA chromatrography. Activity was verified using a modified version of the S1P ELISA kit. See below for the protocol TDS. Please request the certificate of analysis to see the specific activity of our current lot.
Sphingosine-1-phosphate lyase (SPL) (E.C.22.214.171.124) works as a key regulator in the final step of the sphingolipid degradative pathway by irreversibly breaking down sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) to ethanolamine phosphate and hexadecenal. S1P signaling, through its five receptors, is involved in many biological events such as proliferation, inflammation, and apoptosis in cancer and other degenerative diseases.
