The emergence of India as a scientific leader highlights the need to establish supply chains with reliable partners. India has seen its scientific output increase rapidly over the last decade and had the second highest growth rate in science as of 2016. As of the end of 2019 India now sits third behind only the U.S. and China in terms of number of articles published according to statistics from the National Science Foundation.
