Gly-Pro-Arg-Pro-OH partly corresponds to the N-terminal Aα chain of fibrin. It inhibits the early stages of fibrin polymerization by binding to the fibrinogen D domain and preventing fibrinogen from binding to the platelet membrane glycoprotein GPIIb/IIIa. It is less active than Gly-Pro-Arg-Pro-NH2 (Cat# 450-17).
