Fibrinopeptide A [Tyr0] is an N-terminally modified analogue of Fibrinopeptide A.  Fibrinopeptide A is produced by thrombin catalyzed cleavage of the N-terminal α chain of fibrinogen. Fibrinopeptide is produced during the coagulation of fibrinogen and can cause chemotactic migration of neutrophils. Measurement of fibrinopeptide A in serum is a sensitive marker for thrombosis.
