CNP (1-22) is a biologically active, peptide fragment of C-Type Natriuretic Peptide, a cardiovascular hormone involved in the maintenance of electrolyte-fluid balance and vascular tone. CNP is a selective endothelium-independent venodilator and is a selective ligand for the NPR-B (NPR2) receptor. CNP is produced in most endocrine glands. CNP-22 is the same sequence in human, mouse, bovine, pig and other mammals
