Endothelin-2 (ET-2) is one of three endothelin peptides responsible for vasoconstriction. Et-2 only differs from ET-1 by two amino acids and was thought to have a similar role. However, Et-2 has distinct and important roles in ovarian physiology, immunology, and heart failure.
