PEG2000-C-DMG is a PEGylated lipid used in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations for delivering RNA. PEG lipids like PEG2000-C-DMG provide a hydrophilic steric barrier that inhibits the binding of plasma proteins, including opsonins, and increases circulation time after injection. PEG2000-C-DMG is formulated with DLin-MC3-DMA, DSPC, and cholesterol to deliver the siRNA ALN-18328 for treatment of polyneuropathy in patients with hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (hATTR).
