Science Research Associate

Position requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or related field plus 3-5 years laboratory experience in an academic, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting
  • Demonstrated productivity at the bench and in written and oral communication
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency with protein purification and analysis techniques; biochemical assay development experience
  • Molecular biology skills and quality/regulatory experience viewed favorably

Position tasks and responsibilities:

  • Purify and characterize glycoprotein from biological sources
  • ELISA development, PCR, DNA aptamers
  • Perform research and development tasks as assigned
  • Design, conduct, and present the results of biochemical experiments
  • Apply scientific research principles and techniques to solve problems and develop new products and processes
  • Contribute intellectually to group projects
