The Echelon Lipid Binding Testing Service is a convenient method to determine the lipid binding capacity of a GST or HIS tagged protein.  The service is divided into two basic parts - (Stage 1) screening for lipid binding capacity and (Stage 2) optimization and titration.  When testing for lipid binding capacity the following lipids are screened:

Stage 2 will only be started if lipid binding is observed in Stage 1.  Stage 2 is comprised of blocking buffer optimization to reduce background reactions and titration of the protein to lipid binding capacity in the optimized blocking buffer.  At the completion of lipid binding capacity testing the user will know what lipids the protein of interest binds at specific protein concentrations and the optimal blocking buffer.
