HDAC Assay Buffer is an essential reagent for use with purified deacetylase in HDAC or Sirtuin assays using a fluorogenic acetylated peptide substrate for HDACs based on the residues of 379-382 of p53 (Arg-His-Lys-Lys (Ac)), as site of regulatory acetylation by the p300 and CBP acetyltransferase (lysines 381, 382). |

—Store product frozen at or below -20 ºC for long term storage. Freeze in working aliquots to avoid repeated thawing and freezing. Concentrate is stable for at least 3 freeze-thaw cycles, but care should be taken that both freezing and thawing steps are done quickly (rapid finger-rubbing for thawing and flash freezing in liquid N2).
